On April 23-25 2018, nearly 3,000 of the biggest and brightest of the marketing and tech-savvy world get together at the MarTech in San Jose, located in Silicon Valley close to some of the biggest names in technology today.
Of the companies to watch out for in their different spaces are Artificial Intelligence-marketing company Bilin Technology, Concentric as well as majors like IBM, Brightcove and Lytics.
On the tip of attendees’ tongues will be subjects about revenue accountability, the relationship between sales and marketing teams (which is sometimes recognised as not being as close as it should be), best practices about Account Based Marketing and how to best use marketing automation, and most importantly, the hottest topic of them all: The impact that artificial intelligence is already having across the industry.
And after checking out the agenda, MarTech’s going to have all the subjects covered to some degree, but what is going to be as important as the listening will be conversations had at the different receptions. As someone who’s been known to like a couple of glasses of Napa Valley red wine, we’d encourage going to networking reception on Tuesday and if you have an all-access pass, a speed-networking session on the Monday before the event. For those of you feeling a little shy when the word ‘speed-‘ is put in front of anything, just think of it as a more fun version of speed-dating, without the pressure of marriage!
If you want to find out what state the industry’s in, hit up the opening keynote from IntelliPhi founder Anand Thaker, who will preview the rest of 2018 and review 2017. We’re also interested in hitting up a talk by Rob Glickman – the CMO of customer data platform Treasure Data – on Tuesday about how to marketers can survive and thrive in the age of all-ruler Amazon.
There will also be workshops on how to buy marketing technology, creating connective experiences through aligning customer experience strategy and digital execution, as well as a variety of other subjects that should intrigue. And if you want to find out how to survive and thrive in Amazon’s world, then go to Rob Glickman’s talk in the Discover MarTech Theater.
As was earlier mentioned in this blog, the most important subject’s going to be about the impact that Artificial Intelligence is having across the industry.
Although there are some small discussions about AI, Wednesday should fuel the whole conversation. Our pick is McKinsey partner Jason Heller’s talk on harnessing its power – it should be riveting.
When you get the time between networking and talks, make sure to check out companies like Bilin who are exhibiting in that space – right in the exhibition hall! We can’t wait to see you and speak to you about how Bilin can change your business for the better.
